Letting Go of Archer
Nia paced in her room, stopping occasionally to look at her Archer Jar. It had been a couple months since he gave his life for what he believed would save her, and until now she had not felt ready to let go. As she stood there, she held her tiny belly and a single tear ran down her cheek. How could Archer just leave her like that? He loved her with all that he was, she know that for sure but why would he just leave? She knew that he had given his soul in order for her to gain hers back, but that had been a trick hadn’t it? Her deal was when she asked for her soul back, she could have it so why did Archer feel it was necessary to save her? There were so many questions and she drove herself crazy trying to come up with answers that only Archer could answer. All at once she knew what she had to do. She needed to see the High Elder Marrok. She either needed to let Archer go, or bring him back somehow and the Elder was the only one with the power to do so. Nia crossed the room in a hurry yet when she got to the Jar containing Archers soul, she hesitated. If the jar was opened, his soul would go straight to hell and that was not what she wanted in any way. As she mulled over what to do, Nia reached out and ran her fingertips along the glass. The small blue light seemed to react to her touch and grow brighter and almost dance at the gentle caress of the glass. “Archer, I will fix this. I promise you. One way or another I promise you freedom from that jar.” and with that she picked up the glass jar containing her soul mate, cradled it in her arms and poofed to Faery to look for a way to see the Elder.
